Had an overall great experience, our location is new so there are still somethings they need to work on communication it seemed like I would ask someone something and the other person would tell me different. I hope the next challenge they bring more equipment and challenge us more. And they need to be more upfront on there nutrition "program"

The Camp Transformation Center - Weight Loss Program Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went tonight for an orientation and they said it's free. Julie would not get to the point when I asked ho much is the program. How could a program be free and ten toward the end she say it's only I think $479 upfront than if you do what they tell you you will get your money back. I flipped out. This company is a scam

Thank you! I can't believe how hard it was to find this information online.

Kind of an important part of the fine print. I don't necessarily agree that this makes it a scam, but that is misleading advertising.

They would probably have even more customers if they were upfront about this. Nobody wants to go to "orientation" and get blindsided with something they didn't expect.

TOTAL SCAM

The 6wk 20b challenge takes commitment- no question. I work 2 jobs and still made time for workouts at The Camp 5 days/wk & for meal prep every sunday. The commitment was there.

My understanding was that if I lose 20lbs in 6weeks and meet the min # of check-ins, then I would be refunded what i paid ($495).

LATER i found out that I only get my refund if I meet my BMI weight. (i'm about 50lbs over) so I would need to do 2 more 6wk challenges, dropping the full 20lbs each challenge before I would actually be able to get my money back.

I thought i was signing up for ONE challenge- NOT THREE.

READ THE CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGN!!!!!!! or better yet- DONT SIGN AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Did you need to pay for the additional challenges?

Guest

seems like a lot of money for this kind of program . There are other programs out there not as expensive and better reviews .

Guest

"Read the contract" before you sign is true of anything in life. Why would you ever sign a contract you didn't read and then complain about it later...when you never read it to begin with.

Especially because when you filled it out, you had to mark your height and initial what your healthy BMI was to reach in order to get your deposit back. Can't fix ***.

Watch the south park episode, 'Human Centipad', op. It's a parody of contracts with hidden or confusing language meant to dissuade consumers or downright trick then into buying the product. It's legal, but is it ethical?

Guest

Did you have to pay all three challenges? Or just the one?

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1207042

You only pay for one challenge and if you meet your 20 but not their weight chart then that money rolls over to the next challenge and you have to lose another 20. You do get your money back though it is just a matter of reaching that specified weight chart on their contract.

Do not waste your Money. Camp is a fraud, scam and managed by fake people.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Yes, you will put your hard earn money into this. lose 20 pounds and get your $497 back.

wrong, you will not get it back, they now changed it where you have to get your bmi under a certain amount. Sam the owner , the doctor claims he wants to make sure your committed so he doesnt waste his time...oh really,? what about the skinny people that join that probably cant lose 20....and what about the people with injuries? Also, the classes are so packed in the beginning of the challenge, the trainers are a mess and there is no class sign up.

you just go whenever and they make up stations. they take so much money...stop saying it is for free, it isnt free. be honest and charge people dont take 497 dollars up front and make poor people think they are getting their rent money back. Lily is the fakest of all.

the "director" who has parties at her house and only invites her select favorites of the camp, and they only take pictures of their "favorites"....terrible ethics there. Management and trainers...

I went to this camp transformation center. I go to workout not be a favorite.

If you wanna do something and be a favorite then the camp is certainly not for you.

I did 2 challenges and got my money back. Instead of getting it back I rolled it over to a year membership.

The Camp Transformation Center - Cleveland OH East Side Holidays over with New Year resolution to think about, I read an advertisement online for a 6 week challenge. Heck how hard could 6 weeks be, with a good challenge that not only would be fun, meet new friends and at the same time loss a few extra holiday pounds thru fitness. The truth was I had been saying this for more than a few years after some poor health. So here we are at camp, I felt like a kid all over again with lots of exciting thing going on. I was going to take on the 6 week challenge, where do I sign on. It was very simple. Attend the first meeting, attend the nutritional meeting. Ok I got this!! Next, the big day to weigh in, then meets the new crew. I found everyone very helpful, positive and upbeat. The Camp is conveniently location very close to freeway, easy drive for all of east siders. This is not like a regular gym; it’s more like having a personal trainer for 6 weeks the gym is laid out well with lots of equipment to work out with, good music too. The rooms are great, lots of murals with inspirational words just a reminder you’re not alone is this. The Trainers are educated all areas of the program, they are there for you not matter how small your questions may be, they are here to support you all the way. .

I started my 6 weeks challenge to lose 20 lbs and successfully lost 21.6 lbs within 6 weeks. Best investment I've ever give to myself. It's takes a lot of self discipline and hard work but its worth it, Now I'm excited to begin a new challenge and it's a hard body 6 weeks challenge. I heard it's a little bit different and harder. I hope I can make it to the end. The camp is a big part of my success, they give you their full support and encouragement, members and staff. see u guys on my next journey ....

The Camp Transformation Center - Weight Loss Program Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I started the challenge in September not knowing what I was getting myself into. A friend recommended this program after losing 40 + pounds so I thought I'd give it a try. It turned out to be the best decision I have ever made just as she said it would. I definitely recommend this program to anyone who needs to lose weight and get in the best shape of their life. I'm about to start my third challenge and I can't wait to see the results!

Probably because it's written by one of the franchise owners. LMAO.

Why would you post comments on a pissed consumer website if you were happy with the program? Seems like the company may be writing the positive reviews themselves.

Kinda funny how all the positive ones have 5 stars for every category. Just sayin...

Huge Success

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Joining the camp was the best decision I've ever made for myself. After, I found myself failing at loosing weight, i joined a medical weight loss program and at every visit they were pushing shots and pills on me. After 9 weeks a nurse asked why are you coming here if you don't want the shots or pills? And i thought..Great question! That is when the Camp challenge showed up on my Facebook. Now, I have some physical issues that caused me to stop working out and made me think I would never workout again. But during orientation the camp director got me excited to do the program and assured me that the trainers would make modifications for me. And they have! Let me make this clear, the staff and trainers provide you more than all of the support and accountability you need. But you have to make the commitment! The camp is a fitness family dedicated to support each other! Between the people you meet every week and the new friends you make, it is incredible knowing you're supported and there's someone else is walking in your shoes or have in the past. I'll admit I was so skeptical when I started...but the power within those walls changes your entire perspective on dieting and working out, changing your entire view on life. Take a chance, you owe it to yourself. Just remember, all the countless hours you have dedicated to others, it is the time to give yourself an opportunity to improve your life. After two 6 week sessions I have lost 56lbs!

Clearly a review written by a franchise owner. Why else would this person post under "anonymous" ?

SUCH A SCAM. Don't get bamboozled folks.

They write their own reviews, be careful they're dishonest

Part of the agreement is that the clients write a review after completing the challenge. I am a client, about a third of the way through on my third challenge and have lost 46 lbs so far.

They arent as clear as they could have been that you have to continue challenges until you make your goal weight, however, now i am exercising regularly and have been adherent to the diet. It has worked for me. Perhaps not the program for everyone, but it changed my life, literally. I'm 54 and at the beginning i could not get up off the floor without something to pull myself up.

I can get up now just using my legs. I could barely do a girl push up, now i can do as many regular ones as my 14 yr old athletic son.

Might not be the program for you but for many of us, it does work.

It Worked for Me!

I completed two challenges, and it has been the best thing for me. I lost almost 40 pounds in 12 weeks and met my healthy weight loss goal!

During my 12 weeks, I did not take any supplements. I stuck to the menu plan 85% of the time and worked out 5 times a week. I received my deposit back and joined the club as a member.

It has been a great investment in myself, and love that I now know how to have discipline in my life when it comes to my body. I've looked into cross-fit programs and group fitness classes, The Camp Transformation is the cheapest that I have been able to find.

Hello, I was just wondering how much your deposit was per 6 week challenge. I was led to believe it was free.

Just read that its $497. Apparently you get it back if you lose at least 20lbs in 6 weeks but they don't want you to know that the contract also says you have to have a healthy bmi at the end as well.

That means that basically if you're more than 20 lbs overweight you won't get your $500 back even if you do lose the weight. I was thinking about signing up but after reading reviews there's no way.

It worked great for me!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I signed up for the 6 week transformation. I weighed 227lbs when I started. I busted my ***, followed the plan and weighed in at 194lbs and have never felt better. I completed my check ins, wrote my reviews and 8 days from my final weigh-in I received my check for $497. Although this plan may not be for everyone, it will work and you will get your money back if you Follow The *** Instructions. I've been off the challenge for almost 2 months now. I did not join the gym but I continue to work our on my own and eat more sensibly - believe me I have many cheat days - but I'm still under 200lbs. If you want to make a change and need support, this is the best place to do it. I do not work for the Camp and I am not a member - I am a result of hard work with the Camp's help.

Were you at or below your ideal body weight for your height? Male or female how tall are you?

Guest

Thank You! This review has helped me decide what route I want to take after I complete the HardBody Challenge.

If I lose the 5% by October 24th I will definitely request my refund back. Reading that you were able to keep off the weight on your own for the past 2 months puts me at ease.

I was going to enroll as a member after this challenge because I am afraid to gain the weight back but now I know it can be done even long after the program. :) thanks once again!

THE CAMP TRANSFORMATION CHATSWORTH

This PLACE IS GREAT. IT WORKS FOR SURE.

EXCELLENT SERVICE AND GREAT CUSTOMER CARE. I had couple of co-workers that were dropping weight like crazy. I asked what they do first it didn't really seem realistic that I would be able to do it but as time went on it was more and more visible on them and it got me motivated. I got more details about the program and how it works.

I didn't think I can loose 20 pounds in 6 weeks. I was joining the program to get into the workout routine. At first my body was weak and out of shape. I had no energy whatsoever.

After couple of workouts and following the diet I felt more energetic. By week 5 I had lost only 14 pounds which meant I had to go into the Tilapia and asparagus diet for a week. I thought that was impossible too but I accomplished it by loosing 21 pounds. I give a lot of credit to Jay.

She is the best, she gets your morning going. She is funny and makes it exciting so you can continually workout without feeling tired. Ronny kills you at night in a good way. Everyone in the camp are great.

They all support each other and very friendly.

I recommend anybody who is trying to loose weight and get into shape to give it a try. You will love the results!

Money better spent

Familiar with the location on Washington BLVD Pasadena . The place is way over rated and way over priced . There are other locations of this type of business in the area which are not as expensive and the staff are a lot more helpful and informed . I found this place to be staffed by money hungry individuals who are only interested in making the dollar $ ! They want to sell you every little thing on the shelf . BUT, you need to go in there with a really suspicious mind . If you decide to join , stay focused, do your work outs and get to your car as quickly as possible or they will sell you a car ?

To the person who said they aren't part of the BBB, you're an ***. The BBB, just like the IRS and the IMF and the FED Reserve are all PRIVATIZED corporations. That means businesses pay the BBB to get a good word. In reality, it says nothing about the business and it's just a front so people like you that think it matters will go to their business.
